Bikers
share a unique brotherhood. Like most families, we all tend
to look a little alike. Leather, studs, boots, and that sun
and wind blown look that only bikers can achieve. Yes, we are
all part of a unique brotherhood, and those outside our family
just don't get it. It's almost as if GOD meant it to be.
The
fact is, GOD did intend for there to be a unique brotherhood.
GOD intended for you to be part of His family, with Jesus as
your brother. You can't prospect or do anything to earn membership
into this brotherhood. Jesus paid your dues when He died on
the cross and came back to life. The only thing you have to
do to become part of the family is to believe and repent totally.
Becoming part of His brotherhood means that we now ride in His
pack and follow His lead. You might be thinking that one day
you'll change your life and be good enough to commit to this
family. The fact is, none of us will ever be good enough. GOD
takes us just the way we are, and no one is too bad to be loved
and accepted by Him.
What
are you waiting for? Let's ride! Pray right now:
Lord,
let your hand be on the throttle of my life.
When I need to go forward, open it up!
Keep
my eyes focused in front of me,
So that I don't become lost.
When
I need to turn,
Point me in the right direction.
Show
me the signs along the way,
And give me the wisdom to take the right road.
When
I need to change gears,
Remind me to use the clutch.
When
I need to stop,
Put on the brakes.
When
I ride into the darkness,
Be my headlight.
Encourage
me to take time daily
To fill my tank with your Spirit.
Protect
me from the road debris thrown at me by the enemy
and guide me safely around the potholes in my paths.
Forgive
me when I ride off course.
As I forgive others that may unintentionally cut me off.
Forever
ride by my side as my personal Road Captain.
Give me boldness to share, to witness, to care.
In
Christ I pray. AMEN
Now
that you're part of GOD's brotherhood, you might be wondering
what's next. A good place to start is with your operator's manual
and road map - the Bible. Start reading toward the back in a
book called John. Getting and staying connected to GOD is easy.
Praying is nothing more than talking to GOD. And you can do
it as you ride your bike. No radio. Nobody sitting behind you
talking. Just you and GOD.
Another
good starting place is to get connected with the rest of the
brotherhood. . . .Find a biker friendly church where the people
love Jesus, a place where you fit in and feel you belong. They
can't necessarily fix all your problems, but like a good mechanic
they can help you work through the pain in your life. They can
also point you in the right direction to get hooked up. One
of the greatest joys of any biker brotherhood is when we get
together to eat, talk, and have a great time.

two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus
Christ and the American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
